We teach a combination of Hapkido (korean empty-hand martial art) and Kumdo swordsmanship (Korean version of Kendo) along with close quarter combat (CQC) and improvised weaponry. Much of what is taught is also techniques and principles used in police academies and active military training.

There is a 1 time setup fee, which includes a uniform, book, and first months training which is $100.  There are no contracts.  Monthly fees are:  $50 for 1 person, $70 for 2 people per family, or $80 for 3 or more per family.  Anyone signing up will be required to also sign a waiver and medical release form. Donations are also welcome as this is run as a ministry from the various church locations we use to train.

Currently, we train on Friday's in Morgan Hill, and Saturdays in Milpitas.   We will be opening additional locations in the future, with Wednesday as our 3rd training day per week.  Classes are after traditional work hours to allow families to spend dinner together and not rush off to a training for class.

Kwan Jang Nim (head of training) has been training since 1984 and holds multiple dan ranks in various arts, including an 8th degree black belt in Shinsei Hapkido, and 6th degree black belt in Kumdo, and a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.   "KJN" has taught at various military bases in CA., trained at Operation Skills Group with the late Bob Ingersoll, where he trained military, police and correction officers.  "KJN" was also inducted into the IIMAHF Hall of Fame in 2009 as the instructor of the year.  His passion for teaching youth, adults and families Christian-based martial arts began in 2003 at a local church.  "KJN" is also a licensed and credentialed California Counselor who volunteers in the local community and school district as a mental-health counselor. 

Combat Kumdo is the system of martial art taught.  "CAMA" is our school name and is also represented by our logo and patch (gold cross with vines on either side and a Bible as the foundation).  It's also the cover of our first book, published in 2005.
